Time is Brain: How to Take ER Trainees Past the "Golden Hour" in Neurocritical Care
DescriptionEmergency trained neurointensivists are in a unique position to transform the “Golden Hour” of neurocritical care resuscitation by bringing the front-line ER perspective to the field and serving as a necessary bridge between the ER and the ICU. And yet, very few of them pursue fellowship training in neurocritical care. Those that do, face some unique challenges. This session will outline the challenges to EM-neurocrit training and offer strategies to maximize educational quality for EM trainees in neurocrit fellowships.
