Dr. Al-Mufti is one of the few triple-trained, board-certified neurologists, neurointensivist, and neuroendovascular surgeons in the country. He joined Westchester Medical Center in 2018 from Rutgers University - Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where he served as the director of neuroendovascular surgery (neurology). Dr. Al-Mufti has a special interest and expertise in the performance of cutting-edge neuroendovascular techniques for the minimally invasive management of cerebrovascular conditions. This spectrum of disease includes aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations, as well as dural, cavernous, spinal fistulae and acute ischemic stroke.
