Firas Abdulmajeed

Biography
Dr. Abdulmajeed graduated from the University of Baghdad/College of Medicine in 2002. During medical school. After graduation he left Iraq he served as a physician in multiple countries around the Middle East and Europe helping displaced refugees and underserved population. When arrived to the United States, he started his residency in Internal Medicine at Canton Medical Education Foundation in Canton, OH and graduated in 2013. Dr. Abdulmajeed worked for two years as an instructor hospitalist at the Colorado Permanente group in Denver Colorado then at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC before joining the University of Virginia as a fellow in Neurocritical Care where he graduated in 2017. He subsequently joined the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and UPMC as an Assistant Professor in Critical Care Medicine (CCM) and Neurology. He is Certified from the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, the United Council of Neurological subspecialties in Neurocritical Care and from the American Board of Internal Medicine, Neurocritical Care Subspecialty.
