Biography
Radina Lilova is an MD PhD student at Virginia Commonwealth University. Radina is in Year 2 of the Medical Scientist Training Program and has a strong interest in neurotrauma and neurosurgery. She is currently studying neuroinflammation in traumatic brain injury in the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology under Dr. Audrey Lafrenaye. In addition to basic science and pre-clinical work, Radina works with Dr. Lisa H. Merck in the Department of Emergency Medicine on clinical research topics relating to traumatic brain injury. She holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from North Carolina State University with minors in biotechnology and biological sciences.
