Biography
Jamie Klapp is a pediatric intern resident at UCSD/Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego. She recently graduated from medical school at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. Interested in pediatric critical care medicine, Jamie was involved in research with OHSU’s Pediatric Critical Care and Neurotrauma Recovery Program, a multidisciplinary team that studies modifiable risk factors affecting post-neurocritical care outcomes in infants and children with acquired brain injuries. Within this, her research focus has been on the impact of sleep disturbances and social determinants of health on post-PICU outcomes. She is particularly interested in studying and intervening on health inequities within medicine and seeks to continue this work throughout residency.
