Thomas Lawson

Biography
Thomas Lawson PhD, APRN-CNP, ACNP-BC is lead nurse practitioner in the neurocritical care unit at The Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center and James Cancer Hospital in Columbus Ohio. He completed a PhD at OSU where he researched the epidemiology of delirium in critically ill stroke patients. His program of research seeks to improve the health outcomes of critically ill patients with neurologic disease by targeting delirium in the NCCU. He has published peer-reviewed journal articles on delirium, disorders of consciousness & other topics germane to the advanced practice of critical care, as well as book chapters and board review content.
During his time as a critical care nurse practitioner, he has taught neurocritical care to many multidisciplinary professionals. He co-founded Board Review Associates which provides Nurse practitioner board certification review and RN certifications courses.
He is passionate about teaching APPs and nurses how to conduct clinically relevant quality research.
