Biography
Dr. Renad Abu-Sawwa, PharmD, BCPPS is an Associate Professor and Associate Discipline
Director of Clinical Pharmacology at Rush Medical College and a clinical pharmacy specialist practitioner at RUSH Children's Hospital in the Pediatric Epilepsy Clinic.
She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelors in Food Science and Human Nutrition and Doctor of Pharmacy. She completed residency at Golisano Children's Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center and Texas Children's Hospital. Prior to joining Rush Medical College, she has held academic positions at prestigious colleges of pharmacy, developing new clinical practice sites in pediatric neurology, teaching and training pharmacy and medical learners.
She is actively involved in professional organizations, serves on professional guideline committees, speaks at national conferences, has multi-center scholarly collaborations and reviews peer-reviewed journals. She strives to promote the advancement of pediatric neurological disorders and change the landscape of higher education and healthcare globally.
