SUMMARY:NeuroNexus: Revolutionizing Neurocritical Care with MultiModal Art
 ificial Intelligence
DESCRIPTION:Breakout Session\n\nNeeraj Badjatia (Univ of Maryland)\n\nThe
application of multimodal artificial intelligence (AI) represents a revolu
tionary approach to the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of patients w
ith acute neurological conditions. This approach leverages a variety of AI
techniques, including machine learning, deep learning, and natural langua
ge processing, to analyze and integrate data from multiple sources, such a
s neuroimaging, neurophysiology, electronic medical records, and systemic
physiology. The essence lies in the ability to harness and synthesize com
plex, heterogeneous data streams, providing a holistic view of a patient's
neurological status in real time. This integration enables the identifica
tion of subtle patterns and correlations, thereby enhancing the precision
of diagnostic assessments, prognostic predictions, and therapeutic decisio
ns. Multimodal AI facilitates the early detection of critical events, suc
h as the onset of seizures, brain edema, or hemorrhagic transformation, al
lowing for timely interventions that can significantly impact patient outc
omes. AI tools can offer predictive insights into patient trajectories, su
ggest optimal treatment pathways, and even anticipate potential complicati
ons before they become clinically apparent. This proactive approach to pat
ient care is further enriched by the ability of AI to learn from vast data
sets, continuously improving its predictive accuracy and operational effic
iency through exposure to new patient data. As these AI systems become i
ncreasingly sophisticated, they promise to unlock new possibilities in the
treatment of neurological emergencies, transforming the landscape of neur
ocritical care with their potential to improve access, enhance patient out
comes, and optimize resource utilization.\n\nTrack: Science of Neurocritic
al Care\n\nFocus Area: General Critical Care, Global Neurocritical Care, I
 nformatics, Multimodal Neuromonitoring (invasive/non-invasive), Subarachno
id Hemorrhage, Traumatic Brain Injury\n\nTarget Audience: Introductory, In
termediate\n\nSession Chair: Keaton Smetana (Riverside Methodist Hospital
