SUMMARY:APPs Making Waves: Strategies for Professional Engagement
DESCRIPTION:Special Topic and Curated Session\n\nLiz Fox (Stanford Health
Care)\n\nAPPs make up a significant proportion of the Neurocritical Care S
ociety, yet not a large proportion of the prestigious Fellow of the Neuroc
ritical Care Society recognition. This session will demonstrate how APPs
can highlight excellence in their daily work to demonstrate the four FNCS
focus areas: dedicated program development, scholarship, leadership and pr
ofessionalism/collaboration within the field of neurocritical care. Real e
xamples from FNCS-designated APPs will be highlighted and will include exa
mples of APP engagement beyond the APP’s home organization. This talk is
part of a three-part series, with the first talk being on general FNCS req
uirements and a second talk focused on pharmacists' experience with FNCS .
\n\nTrack: Clinical Practice\n\nFocus Area: Provider Education Topics (eg
fellowship training, competency assessment, etc)\n\nTarget Audience: Intro
ductory\n\nSession Chair: Jason Makii (Cumberland Pharmaceuticals)
